Shannan Leigh Reeve

Shannan Leigh Reeve is ready to bust out of the gate as Alyssa in the tello / King is a Fink production I HATE TOMMY FINCH.

Shannan was born into a military family and spent most of her life moving from city to city. After landing her first role in the stage adaptation of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory while her family was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, she knew that no matter where life would take her: she had to be an actress.

Breaking with family tradition, Shannon did not immediately pursue either a military career or a college education after high school graduation.  Instead, she accepted a contract to play Helen in the WATERWORLD STUNT SHOW in Osaka, Japan. While there, she also performed as Columbia in a multi-media production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Later, when Shannan decided to go to college, she double-majored in Psychology and Theatre. Shannan quickly discovered that her psychology coursework strongly influenced her work as an actress. At the Denver Center Theatre Co., Shannan had the opportunity to work with award winning Voice & Diction coach Kathryn Maes and Gabrielle Cavellero, and she won an Irene Ryan Nomination for her portrayal of Lucy in THE RIVALS. Denver was also where she had the opportunity to play one of her favorite roles to date, Allison in LOOK BACK IN ANGER.

Later, in New York City, Shannan workshopped a new musical based on the music of the Ramones. She also performed in MOONBITES under the direction of Greg Mullavey and in The INCONSTANT INFECTION at the NY Fringe Festival. NYC is where Shannan started to shift her focus from theatre to film, working on several independent features and student films, including DESCENT with Rosario Dawson & BENT with NYU Tisch student director Estefania. And, of course, she couldn’t pass up a chance to study Improv at the People’s Improv Theatre (The P.I.T.).

Currently Shannan resides in Hollywood, where she performs regularly as the witchy Cyberdyne CEO at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Terminator 2:3D attraction.

This year Shannan has multiple projects where you can see her, including the comic book action feature CROSS, the web-series COWGIRL UP and DIARY OF A BLACK WIDOW (both available at tellofilms.com), and the theatrical version of WE HAVE TO STOP NOW season 2, which screened at Outfest this year. And, of course…she originated the role of Alyssa in I HATE TOMMY FINCH during the world premiere of the play in Chicago in October of 2011; web series premieres on tello films in January of 2012.

Upcoming projects include the feature CROSSROADS, which marks Shannan’s first leading feature film role, and INTO THE EQUINOX, a horror film which was shot to shoot in Alaska in August 2011 and is currently in post production.
