Once Upon a Time…

Last spring during the live taping of the tello-sponsored game show Who Knows Her Better?, the forward-thinking Christin Mell had a revelation: if we could get 100 people to come to a live taping of a never-before-seen game show in a bar on a Monday night, imagine the people who might be interested if we removed the barriers that kept them from coming to that one-shot event. We had fun questions (Kfink certified), a great host (that’s YOU, Elizabeth Keener), and a fun crew that made it seem less like work and more like camp. So the WKHB team decided to defy rules of space and time by taping the live event and sharing the night of fun with everyone.

In one fell swoop, we preserved the spontaneity of the live event (Hello, hilariously tipsy audience!) while extending the shelf life and boosting revenue possibilities (money, yo!) You can tell from the WKHB trailer how much fun we had…

Two episodes of the game show were edited and posted in the premium content section of tello’s website, and we taped a new episode in July (episode to come soon.) And then we kept thinking…what ELSE can we do? Christin’s answer: a play.

Just like that, I HATE TOMMY FINCH was born. Now all Christin had to do was talk someone into writing it…
